About Ritu:
Ritu began practicing Yoga in 2012, and it became an important part of her life to cope with the New City and being so far from home. Yoga taught Ritu the importance of Mindfulness and provided her with the sense of community that she always sought. This is the same approach she brings to her classes. I SEE YOU; I LOVE YOU. You are always seen in my classes, and I will always make you feel at home in the class.
Ritu has a unique way of creating her classes as the biggest advocate of benefitting from cross-training. As a long-distance runner, you will find Ritu focusing on functional alignment, anatomy, and creating space and strength in both body and mind in her teaching. She brings her knowledge of Pilates and mobility & strength training to her classes. She asks her student to often challenge themselves by providing variations in the practice.
Credentials: Ritu completed her 200-hour certification RYT in 2015. She then completed her 500-hour certification in 2018. She completed her Pilates certification in 2021. She has taken contenting education in Restorative yoga, meditation, Roll-model Tune-up, and mobility training. She is currently getting certified in Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialty (February 2024).
It is my hope that my class is a space where people can come together to connect with themselves and with others through a journey of mindfulness movement. Hope to see you on the mat.
